Why should Seattleites give a shit about a seven-foot Net heading back home to play ball? Because Seattleites should really hate NBA commish David Stern after his role in the hijacking of the Sonics, and the more quality NBA players that leave for greener pastures abroad, the less chance the NBA has of expanding overseas — or at least it'd create an unseemly trans-Atlantic modern-day mirror image of the pre-merger ABA-NBA detente. And anything that stymies David Stern's plan for world domination, we're good with.
