Sonic Settlement in the Works?

That's what Richard McIver says, but don't hold your breath. The verdict's only a couple hours away. Damon will provide some intellecutally stunning insight when that moment arrives. I'll be drinking wine in Woodinville with Mark Knopfler.

And while I've got you, let me throw out a prediction: Regardless of which way today's ruling goes, any NBA team playing in Seattle next year will not be owned by Clayton Bennett & Co. If Bennett wins, he's gone. But if he loses? He's gone, too; the league will either grant him an expansion franchise in Oklahoma City and broker a deal to sell the Supes to Ballmer and his partners, or the league will make a binding deal to either grant Seattle an expansion franchise within the next five years or (likelier) move the Memphis Grizzlies back north. Or Bennett will just pull a Bob Irsay and illegally move his franchise in the dead of night. A poisoned well is a poisoned well, no matter which way you try and tap water (or poison) from that well.
