Seattle, the New Portland
That is, as far as Direct TV's concerned. So tonight, Seattle residents, bereft of hometown basketball who want to indulge their inner Blazer Fan, can't catch them hosting the L.A. Clippers using Direct TV's NBA League Pass. No sir. That's because the NBA now considers Seattle part of the Portland market. Portland's broadcast territory, which used to be a 75-mile radius, has grown exponentially to stretch all the way to the old Sonics' stomping grounds. Take heart, though, there's still a way to catch one of the most exciting young teams in the league. But you have to have cable. Comcast SportsNet is broadcasting 55 Blazer games this season. More likely to come next season.
