Coming Zune
I was gone last week and figured I missed this, but then I searched the Times and P-I and couldn't find anything on Microsoft's unannounced iPod-killer, the wi-fi-enabled Zune music player (pictured; there's already a dedicated Web site here), about which Engadget, among other sites, has been writing since July 11. (The fact a rival player is in development has been known for some time, but not the name or specs.)
Rob Scoble blogs about it today. He speculates that Microsoft will have the only wi-fi-capable player on the market for maybe about a month before Apple matches it, and if Apple doesn't, "you'll see people saying that Apple is dying again."
