BetaNews is reporting that Microsoft's Zune, the portable, wi-fi-capable music player, will come out in October. And add a couple of code names to the list: Pyxis is another player, with video, intended to compete with Apple's Nano. And something code-named Alexandria will be the service providing the tunes. BetaNews says public demonstrations of these products will begin next month, with a promotional blitz in the fall.
