Mike Webb in Court
Liberal former KIRO-AM (710) talk-show host Mike Webb (pictured, apparently circa 1972), about whom Geov Parrish wrote in April, made a court appearance yesterday in his insurance-fraud case. Entertainingly antagonistic BlatherWatch blogger and occasional Seattle Weekly freelancer Michael Hood was there. He relates this account of Webb's, um, demeanor, which allegedly included numerous threats against Hood and a physical altercation with a former Web listener named Nate, who had a camera. Hood says he now has a restraining order against Webb. Nate blogs about this himself here, saying that they were in the hallway when Webb grabbed his camera and tried to throw it in the trash.
According to both, Webb's lawyer kept telling him to shut up. At one point, Webb asked his lawyer, referring to Hood and Nate, "Can I shoot 'em?"
