CACIEE Letter Is In
The letter from the Community Advisory Committee on Investing in Educational Excellence (CACIEE) to the Seattle School District is in, and as expected it takes the district to task for not moving quickly and decisively enough to fix its fiscal and academic woes. "So here we are at the six-month mark," the letter reads, referring to the report issued by the commitee six months ago outlining a sweep of proposed reforms. "We are still waiting." Interestingly, the letter is signed not only by CACIEE members but by a number of other activists and interested parties, including former mayor Norm Rice.
