Hempfest Gets Permit

After filing a lawsuit last week against the city of Seattle and the Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Hempfest today withdrew its lawsuit. The city has now issued the fest a permit after SAM, unreasonable till the 11th hour, finally capitulated and decided to give festival organizers the kind of access they required in and around SAM's under-construction Olympic Sculpture Park right next to Myrtle Edwards Park, site of the pro-pot political rally on Aug. 19 and 20.
