Pullman Rape Trial Update

Kyle Schott, the former WSU student from Renton facing felony rape and burglary charges after a drunken night out with an L.A. porn star, was scheduled for a pretrial hearing this Friday with his trial set to start Feb. 19. As tends to happen with criminal trials, the dates have all been pushed back to June.

Christopher Reid, the porn star who made the incident national news, is still scheduled for a pretrial hearing Feb. 29 with his trial scheduled to begin March 10, but that will likely change. Both defendants have waived their right to a speedy trial so unless one of them strikes a deal, it will likely be awhile before either faces a jury of their peers.
