Parks Levy, by Committee

The city council took a poll. So what's next?

Establish a citizens' advisory committee, of course! Says the press release:

On Monday, April 21, 2 p.m., the full council will take action on the next step in the process of deciding whether to renew a parks levy. President Richard Conlin, and Council members Tom Rasmussen, Tim Burgess, Bruce Harrell, Jean Godden, Sally Clark and Nick Licata are sponsoring legislation to create the Parks and Green Spaces Levy Citizens’ Advisory Committee. If approved, the Committee would issue a report by June 30, 2008, advising the Council on the pros and cons of asking voters to renew a parks levy on November’s ballot.

So a vote, on creating a committee, on deciding whether there should be a vote. Classic Seattle.
