Is free gas a better reward than just free cash? Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers thinks so. In these times of $4.50-a-gallon prices, it has bumped up its rat-on-a-rat reward offers to include a $250 gas card for turning in any of the county's 50 most-wanted felons.

"All of these persons have outstanding felony warrants for sex offenses, domestic violence, various felony crimes, and gang-related activity," according to the organization's web site. "If you provide information that leads to the arrest of any of the suspects, you will receive a gas card valued at $250.00 in addition to the cash reward offered through Crime Stoppers."
