AP Apparently Hasn't Been Strung Along By Obama

It's been well over a week, as regularly Daily Weekly readers know, since Obama promised to text message his veep pick to me (and thousands of other "young voters") who registered for his Facebook-esque community. Adding financial injury to insult, they've been happy to text about things other than the veep at 20 cents a pop.
Today the Associated Press reports on this amazing innovation in voting bloc communication.
Allison Dale, a University of Michigan graduate student who has studied the impact of text messages on voting, said Obama's campaign was shrewd to give prospective voters a juicy piece of information - the vice presidential pick - in exchange for their cell phone number.
Easy for her to say, clearly she didn't spend last weekend refusing to go anywhere outside cell range for fear of missing the big announcement.
