Pot Proponents Extend Deadline

rickywilliams.jpg

More than 100 people showed up yesterday at a Department of Health hearing in Tumwater to protest a proposed rule that would standardize the amount of pot medical marijuana patients can hold. For their efforts, protestors earned another four days to publicly comment on the proposed rule. If passed, users of medical marijuana will be entitled to 24 ounces of dried pot, six mature plants, and 18 baby plants for a sixty day supply. These limits, the Cannabis Defense Coalition says, are completely arbitrary and don’t allow a user to grow the amount of marijuana she or he is allowed under the law. As Ben Livingston, the group’s spokesperson says: “Without science there can’t be compliance.”

Not bad, but we suggest these slogans. They’re a little more catchy.
