Too much Palin ... not enough Palin ... head about to explode ...
Posted Sep. 3 at 6:01 pm by David Stoesz
Between trying to digest the last Palin nugget and waiting impatiently for the next (hasn't it been at least 90 minutes?), I'm losing my mind. I'm about to wear out my keyboard refreshing Talking Points Memo every twenty seconds diligently working and surfing the Web only during my authorized break times.
But what I really want to know, and RIGHT NOW, is if there's any truth to the supposedly forthcoming National Enquirer report that she had an affair. (Yes, it's pathetic that I just typed the words "supposedly forthcoming National Enquirer report," but at this point I have all the shame of a junkie in a dumpster.) And more importantly, why would the McCain camp bring up this report?
Choose one:
- It's true, and they don't realize that by refuting it, they're ensuring that the mainstream media will now mention it. Which they wouldn't have otherwise, just like they ignored the John Edwards reports for months.
- It's not true, and that's exactly why they're highlighting it—so people are distracted by this false allegation from the true ones.
- They don't know if it's true or not. They're so shellshocked they barely even know what they're saying or doing.
Must know ... must know now ... (refresh, refresh, refresh).

Hey, back off. If she had an affair, that just makes her more "normal", more like us. She's just a Christian woman dealing with things that make her just like you and me.
The whole notion of holding someone who is going to be a breath away from the ICBM bitchslap mechanism to a higher standard is just liberal sexism.

Posted Sep. 3 at 6:37 pm by John LongnenbaughI'm a bit worried about the McCain/Palin energy policy. (Especially drilling in ANWR) I think that one of the best things we can do is support 'green' business. For example, http://www.simplestop.net stops your postal junk mail and benefits the environment.
Posted Sep. 3 at 7:00 pm by ClarkCome on guys, looking into Sarah Palin's background is "sexist!" How dare you? Nevermind that she is about to accept the VP nomination and we know nothing about her (other than the 15 running scandals). We must accept at face value all spin coming out of the McCain campaign and not question any of it, otherwise we are sexist!
Posted Sep. 3 at 7:02 pm by TanyaRegardless of whether it's true or not, it has to make you wonder what other bones could fall out of her closet.
The hypocrisy level of the GOP to discuss each new revelation as 'personal business', after publicly flaying the Clintons for years over similar 'personal business' is absurd.
It can't go both ways. If people are convinced this woman is ready to lead the free world when granpa kicks it...stop making her hide behind the 'female martyr' schtick.
This is a tough job she's asking for as VP...she better be able to take one to the chin and get up.
