3 Stooges West

The best part of Ted Stevens' speech

A week in advance of T-Day, lets give thanks to our Western neighbors Alaska and Idaho for helping make this a memorable Election 2008, a gift that keeps on giving:

Yesterday, there was that standing ovation given by the senate to 7-count felon and Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, forever immortalized for his "series of tubes" and the "No!" clip Jon Stewart loves to play (a word Stevens didn't say often enough).

And there was the goodbye salute he got from wide-stance Idaho Senator Larry Craig, who, in citing Stevens' achievements, noted with a hint of jealousy that he had an airport named after him.

And finally there was Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's turkey-pardoning press conference, given while in the background other death-penalty turkeys were stuffed into a bloody "Fargo"-like bird grinder. Yes, a fine day for the West.
