The Daily Score's Clark Williams-Derry reports that the last decade has shown a steady decrease in per-capita driving by residents of Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. A review of Federal Highway Department data produced the above chart.

He also notes that driving in Oregon has decreased more rapidly than in Washington or Idaho, perhaps the result of the state's stringent growth management policies and/or Portland's investment in transit.
