Note to The Daily Show: Please Don't Confuse Federal Way With Seattle When You Make Fun of It

jasonjones.jpgIn January '07, a quackish Federal Way parent named Frosty got the school board to prohibit showings of Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth. When The Daily Show did a segment on the situation (hilarious video here), correspondent Jason Jones called Frosty the parent of a kid at a "Seattle school."

Well, Federal Way is at it again. This time, the school district is prohibiting students from watching Barack Obama's inauguration—a largely uncontroversial civic event—without a permission slip from their parents.

All I ask is this, Daily Show: Be like Uptight Seattleite and make fun of us for the things we are, not the things we are not.
