Celebrity Spotting on Cap Hill

bonnie_blog.jpg
You know what's a great movie to rent sometime? Heart Like a Wheel, the 1983 biopic about drag racer Shirley "Cha-Cha" Muldowney, which provided a rare starring role for actress Bonnie Bedelia. A couple years later, she played Bruce Willis' estranged wife in Die Hard, another movie we like a lot. Why are we telling you this? Because Bedelia, now apparently a Northwest resident (or second home owner), will be appearing to introduce the 1969 They Shoot Horses, Don't They? at Northwest Film Forum tonight. She plays Bruce Dern's girlfriend in the flick, about marathon dancers during the Great Depression. Jane Fonda and Michael Sarrazin star. The late Sydney Pollack directs. And I'll bet Bedelia—who happens to be the aunt of all those Culkin kids—should have interesting things to say about them all.

Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Ave., 267-5380. $6-$9. 6:15 p.m. Thurs. March 5.
