No iPhones for Bill Gates' Kids

no_iphone.jpg
"But, Moooom! I need one!" You gotta love this report from Gizmodo, quoting an interview with Melinda Gates in Vogue (sorry, no link), that the richest family in our area (and the nation) won't allow rival products in its household. We refer to the iPod and iPhone, which Bill and Melinda Gates have banished from their high-tech Medina compound. Don't the Gates have two daughters? Both pre-teens? Just wait a few years for them to reach high school (probably Lakeside). Then the nagging campaign will begin in earnest. And you know what? I'm guessing the richest parents in the U.S. will cave to their kids. Because there's never enough money to buy peace in your own home.
