Ride Your Recumbent Bicycle to See Ed Begley, Jr.
Who knew? It turns out the actor (Pineapple Express) and environmental activist is also an author. Tonight he'll sign and discuss his Living Like Ed: A Guide to Eco-Friendly Life. There was a pretty funny mention in The New York Times last year, in which former Seattle TV host Bill Nye the Science Guy talked about eco-competing with Begley, his Los Angeles neighbor, to see who could be more green.
Not only does the guy drive an electric car or bike everywhere (the latter a rarity in L.A.), he hawks his own brand of cleaning solution, called Begley's Best, making him something like the Paul Newman of the Sierra Club set.
