Dive Bar Book Tour Hits Ballard Tonight

As Fefer so kindly noted the other day, the dive bar book train will make a stop in Ballard tonight, where I'll be reading aloud at Abraxus Books at 7:30. Abraxus is located at 5711 24th Ave. NW, a couple blocks north of Market in the building that once housed the old Ballard Public Library, before it moved to its current digs with grass on the roof.

Whereas at last Monday's Blue Moon reading I read to the tinkle of Jason Rowe's flavorful keyboards and closed the show with a Peter Cetera cover, tonight it'll be just me up there, armed only with a few cans of Rainier, which Abraxus' lovely proprietors have been kind enough to provide, free of charge, to all who attend (until they run out, that is). For my set list, I will select bars from the monorail route that would have extended from Ballard to West Seattle, two neighborhoods near and dear to my heart. Books will be available for purchase, and I'll be happy to autograph 'em. And rest assured a stroll to the Sloop or Smoke Shop will ensue immediately afterward.
