Our Contribution to the Political Discourse
Politico reports that when the Republican National Committee meets next week, it will approve a resolution rebranding the Democratic Party as "The Democrat Socialist Party". The resolution comes courtesy of Jeff Kent, an RNC member hailing from Custer, Washington. (Not the same guy as the baseball player, pictured at left, who broke his wrist riding his motorcycle but said he did it washing his truck.) Explains Kent:
There is nothing more important for our party than bringing the truth to bear on the Democrats' march to socialism. Just like Ronald Reagan identifying the U.S.S.R. as the evil empire was the beginning of the end to Soviet domination, we believe the American people will reject socialism when they hear the truth about how the Democrats are bankrupting our country and destroying our freedom and liberties.
