The redemption of one-time WSU football-god, Ryan Leaf, has hit yet another snag. The former top NFL draft pick was arrested at a border crossing near Bellingham yesterday while attempting to enter the United States. According to his lawyer, Leaf was returning from a successful stint in a Vancouver drug rehabilitation center. U.S. Customs agents picked him up on an warrant emanating from an arrest in Texas last fall for breaking and entering. At the time, Leaf, 33, was working as an assistant football coach at West Texas A&M University. Both the apartment and the unspecified amount of prescription Hyndrocodone police say he burgled belonged to a member of the West Texas A&M football team. He now faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
