Pour on the Pride: Seattle's 10 Gayest Street Names

gaystreet.JPG

Magnolia's Gay Ave. W. (above) may be the most blatant of our city's thoroughly fey thoroughfares, but it's hardly among the truly gayest. Here are our top ten, part of our series this week called Pour on the Pride:

10. Arch Ave. S.W. (West Seattle)
9. Cecil Ave. S. (Rainier BeachBeacon Hill)
8. Eagle St. (Belltown)
7. Fauntleroy Way SW.(West Seattle)
6. Glenwilde Pl. E. (Montlake)
5. La Fern Pl. S. (Rainier Valley)
4. W. Mansell St. (Magnolia)
3. Thorndyke Ave. W. (Queen Anne Magnolia)
2. N.E. 69th St. (Ravenna)
...and the gayest street name in all of Seattle:
1. S. Van Asselt Ct. (Rainier Valley)

(Not to mention a whole flock of porn-star byways: S. Brandon St., S.W. Bruce St., Jesse Ave. W., Mason Rd., W. McCord Pl., E. Ward St., Wolfe Pl. W. . .)

Note: Although there is a Fauntleroy Ave and a Pl, we've changed to reflect the main drag (zing!) in West Seattle is Fauntleroy Way. Oh, and yeah, you're right, Thorndyke is in Magnolia.
