Three-Strikers Plea for Clemency Tomorrow

Two more three-strikers are set to appear tomorrow before the Washington State Clemency and Pardons Board. Alkareem Shadeed and Michael Bridges are hoping to follow in the footsteps of Stevan Dozier, who was released last month after receiving clemency. Like Dozier, Shadeed and Bridges—who both struck out on pickpocket attempts— will have the support of King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg.

When the board voted to free Dozier, at least one member noted that he was not intending to open the floodgates to three-strike petititioners. (Watch the video.) Will the board go for two more? And will the governor, who makes the final determination? You can watch the proceeding on TVW tomorrow, beginning at 10 a.m.
