Keepin' Up With the Beaux Artsers; Cast Your Ballot Today!

As of 8 p.m. last night, 17.37 percent of King County voters had turned in their ballots. Beaux Arts Village is an incorporated town just across the bridge between Mercer Island and Bellevue. The median household income in the town of 300 was $96,000 in the 2000 Census. That's out of date now, of course, but needless to say Beaux Arts dwellers are generally well-heeled and apparently they also vote. Of the 219 ballots mailed to Beaux Arts residents, these democracy-lovers have returned 57 (or 26 percent) of them.

Let your sense of cross-Lake Washington rivalry inspire you to turn your ballot in. It must either be post marked some time today or dropped in one of the ballot boxes by 8 p.m. tonight.
