Save Our Sonics Endorses Donaldson, Others
The group's founder might be personally fond of Jan Drago, but Save Our Sonics is throwing its weight behind James Donaldson in the mayoral race. Reasons SOS, whose goal has shifted to bringing an NBA team back to Seattle: "As a former Sonics player, James understands the NBA well and has connections in the community, as well as the league, that will be essential in our efforts to restore Sonics Basketball in the region. Of all the candidates for Mayor, he has the best chance of unseating Mayor Nickels."
In other races, SOS chose to endorse Fred Jarrett for county exec and Jessie Israel and Marty Kaplan to advance out of the primary ahead of pro sports' arch nemesis, Nick Licata.

Doctor Donald says:
Please ask both sitting County Council Members, Constantine and Phillips, why they and the rest of the County Council killed the Ron Sims proposal to purchase the Black Manufacturing building on Rainier Avenue a few years back, for about 12 million for a new data center, then stopped the move to Fisher Plaza, again for between 10 and 15 million, but ponied up between 30 and 40 million to move the County Data Center to a warehouse owned by David Sabey in Tukwilla?
