Mare No Mora?

Over on the P-I's sports blog, Jim Mora makes it sound like Seahawk kicker Olindo Mare could be on his way out. His replacement would likely be Brandon Coutu, who lost a hard-fought training camp duel with Mare and has yet to sign with another team. Mare missed two field goals of ordinary length yesterday, and the Seahawks just so happened to lose to the Bears by six points. As Steve Kelley notes over at the Times, it's starting to feel like a rerun of last year for the injury-plagued Hawks, new coach and all. And once again, I've been served with a very poignant reminder of why I don't play fantasy football. Injuries don't just dash the fortunes of real quarterbacks like Matt Hasselbeck, they murder the pocketbooks of armchair signal-callers as well.
