Problem Solved, People: Seattle's First Gun-Ban Sign Stops Criminals in Their Tracks

• Some other notable "Gun-Free Zones" in recent history: -Columbine High School -Northern Illinois University -Virginia Tech -Ft. Hood It's nice to know that Mr. Nickels is *really* taking a stand against violent crime.

• Greg Pickels just doesn't get it, and never will... Him and Paul Allen and their buddies that bought all the old buildings just east of the Viaduct! Taxpayer money down the drain to improve the value of their property. Silly gun signs on OUR city property. It doesn't belong to Nickels, If it did, He could post what He wanted. It belongs to You and Me! Lincoln park is just down the hill from where I grew up, and is less than ten minutes from home in Highland Park. To heck with Pickels, He ignores the gang problems.... I should still be able to protect My Family at the park...

• Oh thank God we moved out of the Socialist Republic of Seattle about 6 years ago. The writing was on the wall then. Moved to Arizona.

• I think the first gun crime in the designated areas should be followed by the arrest of the Mayor as an accomplice.

• I am only going to say this... There is no way what I feel like saying would get passed censorship, let alone possibly used against me in a court of law. 'Tis an absolute shame.

• Way t go Mayor Nickles. A very smart way to spend our tax money. This is about as smart as the clowns burning $100 bills to light their cigars. The problem is that those clowns have the money to burn. Seattle does not. Here is an idea for you. Why don't you use that money you spend on stupidity like this for humanitarian reasons instead of making the good citizens of Seattle better victims of criminals.

• Allright I can now sleep at night knowing that the city will be safer, once the criminals read that sign theyr'e sure to move somplace without restrictions on where they can carrie there guns without being harassed. Yeah right when pigs-fly, what is going on in this country how will making law abiding citizens subjects do anything to combat crime. I don't live in seattle but I can't say thank-god becuase I do live in california, wich is so libarial/socialist, it would make Hitler proud. It's time "WE THE PEOPLE" take back this great land called AMERICA 2010&2012 come on people vote these scumbags out on their socialist/comunist a$$'s lets show them the door and take back what our founders left to us through the blood of our ancesters. AMERICA LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT PERIOD.

• To bad that we don't post a "Socialist and Marxists Prohibited" sign at the White House, then none of the Maobama crew would enter. Your mayor has the traits of worthless socialistic traitor, time for removal under the preface of "incompetent to perform duties..."

• Nothing will statistically stop a criminal like a law. Wait, criminals don't obey laws. That's why they are criminals. So what does this sign do?? Create less resistence for the criminal? I'd move immediately and suggest everyone stay away from there.

• Moronic policy. The lot of them don't understand that criminals don't give a hoot about any law esp. gun laws. Only "law-abiding" citizens, and in this case most likely future victims, obey idiotic laws such as this. As in Texas (where I live) and Florida, if a thug thinks everyone has a gun, there is less crime in that area.

• Gun bans do not work. They never have, and this sign is illegal. McGinn has promised if elected, to support this ridiculous ban which will only serve to waste our tax dollars while he lives out his strange idealistic martyr fantasy. I am voting for Mallahan.

• Sign says 'firearms prohibited' ... rightly interpreted, it means: 'attention crimials, people within this property have been disarmed for your convenience' Enjoy, Mayor Nickels
