Your Morning Campaign Round-Up

- King County Democrats filed a PDC report claiming Susan Hutchison was getting free use of a luxury home in Larelhurst as her campaign's HQ. Specs on the home revealed it to be managed by a company run by cell phone giant Bruce McCaw, who's already maxed out on his donations to Hutchison's campaign.

- Hutchison was also busy yesterday unveiling her plan to put the jail under the control of the King County Sheriff's office. A move endorsed by Sheriff Sue Rahr, but opposed by the local corrections guild. Says guild president Doug Justus in a press release sent out this morning:

"Both Sue Rahr and Susan Hutchison have stood before our members and pledged that they would listen to our concerns before proposing a transfer in jail management authority to the Sheriff. Yesterday they broke that promise. We are deeply skeptical that transferring authority over the jails to an elected official who has never worked a day in a jail would do anything to enhance public safety or improve the management of our facilities, but we remain willing to have the conversation."

- Seattle Times has the skinny on the dust-up between mayoral candidate Mike McGinn and Port Commission candidate Rob Holland. The latter of whom objected to the use of his image in the former's campaign ad.
