Comment of the Day: Terry Lee Alexander Inspires Conflicting Feelings
Readers Kris and Robyn respond to Should Terry Lee Alexander, the "Obituary Burglar," be Given a Second Chance? Looks like they'll have to agree to disagree.
Kris doesn't think Terry Lee Alexander deserves a second chance.
Kris: "Sad thing is Terry hasn't turned his life around, and those folks don't need to be hurt by him. He's done nothing but hurt the people around him and has no remorse for the crimes he's done over the years. Yes I can say this because I know him and have for years."
Robyn: "Thank you for telling the real story. And yes, Mr. Alexander should be allowed to keep his job. He has paid his debt to society and has turned his life around. He deserves the chance!"

I'm his step daughter removed, and Terry has been given chance after chance after chance, How many more chances is he suppose to have to hurt people? I do know the facts, all the facts and Kris is right, enough is enough! give him a job working on cars, but not around old people, his boss is off her rocker and is not thinking about the people at the center, Terry is a con artist and she's fallen for it. Is she going the blame when he robs one of those old people? Maybe her job should be looked at also.

I have not spoken with him in 20 years, but when I was young and stupid I was married to this man and we had a child. That is my mistake. But I have heard that there are certain sources that are naming our childs name. This is uncalled for. We have had nothing to do with this man for many many years and her life does not deserve to be disrupted or her name called out.

I have been reading many of these comments and I have decided I need to say a few things.
1) Much has been made about the fact that Terry works at a Senior Center. What needs to be known is that HE DOES NOT WORK WITH THE SENIORS. He works at the center after hours for rental control. His job is to make sure the rental does not have any problems. If you were to talk to the seniors that attend the center, they do not know him. He works after regular business hours. This information was repeated over and over to Kiro, but they refused to air it.
2) The people writing the negative things about Terry were people from his past, the past he left. The people he surrounded himself were equally as bad, this leads one to believe these are most likely attention seeking unsavory people.
3) Elizabeth is 1oo percent correct that her daughter’s information did not need to be out there. This is on the Kiro website, while they found it appropriate to black out the names of the robbery victims; they never thought to protect the other innocent people.
4) Kiro TV should be completely embarrassed by the job Chris Halsne did on this article. This is not an honest article; they went into it with a story in mind never even listening to what was being said. This style of writing is the complete opposite of journalism, much more along the lines of National Enquirer.
5) Terry has turned is life around, other TV stations wanted to do a story about the success he was in the rehab program. He is not perfect, but he needs to be given the opportunity to try and better his life. I know him now, I didn't know him in his past, and he is a changed man and should be allowed to be the productive member of society he has become.
6) The manager of the senior center did nothing wrong, she in fact hired a man with glowing recommendations to watch a building while being rented (not while seniors are present). She was helping another human being, when was the last time any of you did that?

Whoa there Tammy, just because you know Terry now, doesn't mean you really know him at all, and those of us that have known him for years doesn't make us all unsavory people. They/we just know more than you do is all, and it's comes from having to live it, not by it being told to us.
I know that his ex-wife was knocked to the floor when she saw the news spot, she has always supported Terry and hoped that with him going to school he'd make it this time, but can you imagine the questions and looks she had to put up with the next day at work and still? The questions and looks her children have had to put up with?
nobody is says he shouldn't work, just that the senior center is not a good fit for him.

Kris, while I appreciate your comments, the part that is disturbing to me is that no one seems to get is that he does not work with seniors, he works when the building is closed to seniors, he has no access to any information of any of the seniors. Again he has no access to any of the seniors or their information. That is the key bit of information everyone continues to overlook.

yep, and you know something, I heard the same sort of things (defenses) come from Sue about Terry also, even after everything he put her through, still do, she still wants to defend him. It's called denial. Don't take his word for everything, go read his court docs then see if you agree if he belongs there, or is the court docs wrong to and everyone out to get him? because thats not the case at all.
