Shane McClellan's Story Strains Credulity
Reader hms-one responds to Shane McClellan Says He Was Beaten Because of the Color of His Skin. He doesn't think McClellan is telling the whole story. And when he says "strains credibility" we're pretty sure he meant "credulity" instead.
One reader doesn't think Shane McClellan is telling the whole truth when he says two men beat him up because he was white.
"I'm sorry, I don't believe this kid. Oh, I believe that he was white, that he was out at 2am, and that he took an ass beating from 2 minority assailants, I just don't buy the hate crime angle. It strains credibility. Not saying it's impossible, just not likely. I don't think guys assaulting him would explain their motivations as described. 'I'm kicking you in the face because of slavery' just seems like a silly thing to say."
"That aside, they pissed on the kid. DAMN. You gotta make someone really mad to get peed on. That just ain't right. I don't think that random mugger pisses on a dude. They knew this kid, he knew them, and he knows why he got beat. I suppose he had to explain an ass whoopin' that bad somehow, tho. You get peed on, people are gonna ask you why."
