Tyler Thomas, Oregon State Lineman, Tased By Cops After Assuming Naked Three-Point Stance
Most off-the-field incidents involving gigantic people who play college football are boring. It's always he-pushed-his-girlfriend-down-the-stairs this or he-clubbed-a-bouncer that. Thankfully, 19-year-old, 301-pound Oregon State offensive lineman Tyler Thomas is here to break up the monotony of boredom-and-drinking induced misdemeanors with a little pre-season training gone
wrong fun.
From the Corvallis Gazette-Times:
According to information from the Corvallis Police Department, at about 4:51 a.m., police were called to 519 N.W. 14th Street after a 32-year-old woman reported there was a naked man in the upstairs office of her residence.Say what you will about a naked Beaver throwing himself at police in the pre-dawn hours, but DON'T YOU DARE SAY THE BOYS IN CORVALLIS DON'T COACH 'EM UP RIGHT! It's a damn shame that he was dismissed from the team and arrested on charges of first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest because that is some EXCELLENT TECHNIQUE, MR. THOMAS!When officers arrived, they ordered him to get on the ground several times, but he refused.
Then Thomas, who had reportedly been drinking, got into a "three-point stance" and lunged at the officers, who Tased him.
