Linda Lusk, Ex-Mayor and Principal's Wife, Tried to Hide Relationship With Husband's Student
Linda Lusk knew there were rumors. The ex-mayor of Prosser now accused of having an inappropriate relationship with one of her daughter's friends, a 14-year-old boy who goes to the same school where her husband is principal, had heard the whispers. So like any good politician, Lusk decided to get ahead of the looming scandal.
The 49-year-old's relationship with the boy allegedly began with a few flirtatious phone messages, progressed to a naked photo sent by text and culminated with a lunch-break blow job at Lusk's house, only two blocks away from school.
Before her reported relationship was made public, Lusk allegedly went on a goodwill campaign. The goal of her counter-offensive: to convince those closest to the boy that she was just an amateur perv, not a pro. It was a mission that would end up backfiring.
Lusk's first target was the boy's coach. He'd overheard his player bragging to teammates about the alleged conquest.
The coach wasn't sure what to believe until Lusk called him to say she wanted to confront the boy in his office. Then he started thinking the rumors might be true.
Lusk then called the boy's parents. She told them she wanted to meet so that they could avoid being blindsided by the rumors.
"I have grown fond of your son over the last few years," the Tri-City Herald reports Lusk telling the boy's mother. "We've been texting each other...it's really gotten out of hand...and it was inappropriate on my part."
Naturally the boy's mother then confronted her son. Who told his mom that not only had he and Lusk done more than just text, but that the older lady had encouraged him to keep their tryst a secret.
"As a mother I'm sickened," she told the Herald. "Do I think that she should have to pay somehow? You're damn right I do."
Lusk is currently facing charges of third-degree child molestation. Thus far she has maintained her innocence.
