We Still Owe $83 Million for the Kingdome
Even though it was demolished over a decade ago, taxpayers still owe $83 million on the debt left over from the Kingdome, a ransom that won't be paid for another six years at least. That's $17 million more than the initial $67 million it took to build the concrete behemoth way back in 1976. Remember this the next time you go to Qwest or Safeco.
