Steve Ballmer Donates Another $325,000 to Defeat I-1098

A new filing by the state's Public Disclosure Commission reveals that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is now Defeat 1098's biggest donor, and it's not even close. After giving "only" $100,000 in September to the campaign to prevent a high-earner's income tax, Ballmer significantly upped the ante by donating $325,000 on October 11. Also joining the check-cutting crew: Microsoft itself, which donated $75,000. That means both Bill Gates, junior and senior, are for, while Ballmer and the company he runs are against. What's that they say about a divided house? Structurally sound? Naw, that couldn't be right.
