Is This the World's Worst Fake HOV Lane Passenger? (SURVEY)
Late last year I wrote about a guy who got pulled over in Renton for illegally riding in the HOV lane on Route 167. He had a Dora the Explorer doll strapped into the passenger's seat that was made to look like a real infant. This is ridiculous. Though it's not necessarily uncommon.
Now another goofball has been ticketed for driving with a fake passenger--this time with a sweater stuffed with clothes that sort of looks like a Nazgul from The Lord of the Rings (if you're a gigantic nerd like I am). This is also ridiculous. But is it the most ridiculous fake passenger of all? You tell me.
OK, so here's a photo of Mr. Nazgul, who was found in the passenger's seat next to a driver on I-405 on Tuesday who told the cop "Sir, I have no excuse" when he was asked what was up with the pile of clothes safety-belted in.

Now here's the Dora the Explorer ridiculousness.

Of course, there's the hottie.

The hoodie.
And, what I had originally called "the Gandalf," but given that I've been trying to limit my LOTR references to one per post, I've changed this one's name to Kung-Fu Master "Pai Mei" (as in Kill Bill Vol. II.)

So let's settle this once and for all.
UPDATE: OK, folks, we're going to go ahead and call this one. With 63 percent of the vote, "Dora the Explorer" wins the prize for shittiest fake passenger attempt so far.
Obviously, using any stuffed toy as a passenger to ride in the HOV lane is likely to attract law enforcement attention, but putting a Latino one like Dora in there is guaranteed to get you pulled over.
