There Was Another Terrorist Plot in the Seattle Area Yesterday

"Home-made bomb." "Detonated." "Fire in the hole."

These are all words used to describe a more successful terrorist-ish plot that was unleashed in downtown Renton yesterday.

From the Renton Reporter:

What appeared to be a home-made bomb comprised of fireworks was detonated by a bomb squad at 2:12 p.m. (yesterday) outside the downtown library on Mill Avenue.

There was a shout of "fire in the hole" and smoke rose from near the library.

OK, so maybe "terrorist plot" is a bit too strong a descriptor for a "bomb comprised of fireworks."

But still.

One local resident who was in the library when the bomb went off said "I'm thinking maybe somebody's pissed at the City Council for voting the library down."

The ATF is reportedly investigating the incident.
