Zane Whitmore, Seattle Piercing Enthusiast, Suspends Himself From Hot-Air Balloon Through Hooks in His Back (VIDEO)

People who suspend themselves in the air using massive hooks pierced through their bodies are notoriously hard to impress. Take Seattle's Zane Whitmore. He had to hang himself from a friggin' hot-air balloon in order to get some attention.

Actually, the stunt is part of a documentary film called Feet Off the Ground, which bills itself as an "in-depth exploration of the human suspension community."

Here's Whitmore taking off from the Long Valley Caldera near Mammoth Lakes, Calif. He's strapped to the balloon using four piercings through his shoulder blades--an experience he later called "peaceful."
