With much humility and promises that "I won't make a dime off it," Camano Island's own Colton Harris-Moore, aka the Barefoot Bandit, accepted a movie deal for $1.3 million.

Didn't he hear that Casey Anthony got offered that much for just an interview and half that for taking her clothes off?

Even so, the Everett Herald reports that Harris-Moore inked the deal with 20th Century Fox yesterday.

Under court order, Harris-Moore can't profit from the film, but the money can be used to pay off the $1.4 million-and-counting in restitution he owes--a situation that non-famous criminals certainly don't enjoy.

In a statement, the Barefoot Bandit wrote:

"I am humbled to know I can now help the people I hurt, at least for the financial damage I caused them. I have absolutely zero interest in profiting from any of this and I won't make a dime off it. It all goes to restitution. That's what I insisted on from the beginning and the contract I signed guarantees it."

The script is apparently being written by Dustin Lance Black, whose 2008 film Milk was all shades of amazing.

Michael Cera gets my vote to play Colton.

Steve Buscemi gets my vote to play Casey Anthony.
