Comment of the Day: Marijuana Raids Happen Because Pot's Not Big Pharma

• I've got a news flash for all you pot heads. A MAJORITY OF PEOPLE IN TH USA DO NOT WANT MARIJUANA LEGALIZED.   The majority of us see the medical marijuana movement for what it is: a thinly veiled attempt to backdoor the laws against marijuana use. I know plenty of people with mm cards and most of them, when they are being honest admit it is a scam to "legally" obtain and smoke weed. I also know that a lot of other criminal activity was goiong on in and around the GAME in White Center including the owner carrying a firearm, which is illegal when you are a mm patient.   No respectable MD would recommend smoking marijuana when they can prescribe THC-marinol in a pill and avoid the damaging effects of inhaling smoke and damaging your lungs. The mediacl community has been against smoking for many years and it is well known that marijuana smoke contains more damaging properties for your lungs than cigarettes. The misguided hippies that are no longer smokers also don't realize that marijuana today is different than the 60's. Weed today has been taken from THC content of 1-5 % to 15-20% which is a whole different thing.   I know the people who love to smoke will hate this post but its the truth. Stop hiding behind medical marijuana, you do your movement a disservice.

• And here is what WebMD says about THC when compared with the anti-Alzheimer's drug Aricept!  "Marijuana May Slow Alzheimer's" (2006) "The Alzheimer's drugs Aricept and Cognex work by blocking acetylcholinesterase. When tested at double the concentration of THC, Aricept blocked plaque formation only 22% as well as THC, and Cognex blocked plaque formation only 7% as well as THC."  If you, or someone you love, is unfortunate enough to get the diagnosis of Alzheimer's, are you going to take second best? Will you be content with Big Phama's Aricept? I wouldn't be! And the fact that you can grow your own cannabis for pennies, rather than pay big bucks to some huge corporation, doesn't sound too bad, either! And breast cancer? Those pink ribbons were everywhere in October! I bet none of you were made aware of these- "9-Tetrahydrocannabinol Inhibits Cell Cycle Progression in Human Breast Cancer through Cdc2 Regulation", while the #2 chemical in marijuana, "Cannabidiol induces programmed cell death in breast cancer cells by coordinating the crosstalk between apoptosis and autophagy."  You may not know what Cdc2 Regulation, apoptosis, or autophagy mean, but "inhibits cell cycle progression" and  "cell death in cancer cells" is pretty darn clear!    So what else haven't they told you about cannabis? Why not find out? Run a search for "Granny Storm Crow's MMJ Reference List". Educate yourself! When the medical facts about cannabis are known, the need for legalization becomes obvious!
