Department of Labor Sues Postal Service Over Seattle Whistleblower

• You probably could put an article in your newspaper (under the guise of free speech) but I will bet you are treated even worse (yes it can get worse) when the powers that be get wind of it.  I tell you, it is a no-win situation with the USPS.  They are so protected from hostile work environment complaints and law suits it isn't even funny.  My empathy goes out to you.  Like I posted previously, I was a mental, emotional, and physical wreck due to how I was treated the last few years of my Postal career.  Prior to that I had all kinds of awards: Special Achievement Awards, Operational Awards (Various), Outstanding Merits, etc. I was diagnosed with PTSD, Clinical Depression, High BP, Spastic Colon, Sleep Apnea.......Maybe you should have taken the $25,000 and been done with it.  Good luck in reaching a better settlement.  Keep us posted.

• The attorney's wantted me to take $25,000.00 just what I have lost in wages and attorney fee and etc. with the harassment still going on I would not take the money and be quiet.  and I have had so much hard times and I'm on meds to work and to sleep. If I took the money then I can"t talk about what happen at our office and and it would not of stopped the harassment and I have to try and recover on my own. I wantted to fight it and my attorney did not and he did not help me I feel he got money under the table. life is hell at our office. Can I put and article in our new paper and not lose my job?

• You sound like one of people at work who thinks he's better than everyone else. My God man, you hated management, you hated Unions, you hated your fellow employees. What was left except your ego telling you that everyone else sucked, you were smarter than everyone else and it was all somebody else's fault. I guess you forgot all those silly rules about conduct. Who did you think you were working for? The Postal Service is autocratic not diplomatic.

• You go Mr. Whistleblower!!!!  I hope you nail their sick, arrogant, slimy buttocks to the wall.  I was treated similarly for writing an article to the Federal Times about craft employees, the Union power rule, and no work performance standards.  I was continually harrassed for several years after that, and micro-managed into taking what I consider a "forced" disability retirement 3 years shy of a regular retirement.  That was costly to my psyche and my pocket book.  I make approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of what I could have drawn had I been able to tough it out for those 3 years.  When I asked the EEO Compliance Manager about filing a "hostile work environment" complaint, I was told that I had to file it directly with the District Manager.  Well, because the District Manager was the leading offender and creator of the poor environment, you can guess that complaining to him wasn't about to happen.  I would love for someone to take the leadership of this floundering organization to task.  Go for it !!!!!!
