As we've noted before, not everyone is cut out for drug smuggling. It's not an easy gig. For instance, sometimes it requires a person to do something like swallow 42 condoms filled with suspected liquid cocaine.

A pair of bumbling, text-messaging brothers outfitted in camouflage were allegedly caught trying to smuggle a load of cocaine across the Canadian border last week.
If you thought heroin was the most intense opiate on the planet, think again. Compared to Fentanyl, a powerful synthetic pharmaceutical, mainlining plain ol' smack is like a drinking a cup of decaf. Now two Seattle men are in trouble with the feds for allegedly dealing the powerful drug.
When it comes to creating a post-racial society, perhaps the world could learn a thing or two from drug dealers. According to federal prosecutors, a powerful Aryan Nation gang in Bellingham put aside their bigoted beliefs and worked closely with a group of Hispanic men to sell meth and heroin.
So it's 4/20 ... April 20th ... an unofficial official holiday for stoners and weed enthusiasts everywhere. Chances are you've heard by now, as 4/20 seems to become a slightly bigger deal every year, and even if you're not part of the cannabis community you've likely been subjected to the onslaught of weed-related hack news stories catering to the stoner element for page views and street cred. 
As the Daily Weekly noted in late March, Sensible Washington - a "group of citizens working to end adult cannabis (marijuana) prohibition for responsible adult use in Washington State," according to its website - recently announced plans to file lowest-priority pot prosecution initiatives in six Washington cities with hopes of placing them on general election ballots come November. 
Some of the local meth/heroin/cocaine suppliers nabbed in a series of raids last month by federal law enforcement groups had direct ties to Mexico's notorious Beltrán-Leyva Cartel, according to recently-unsealed court documents.

Despite the warning issued last month in the wake of seven Seattle area needle deaths in a few days, which were followed by seven more deaths this week in the Longview-Kelso area - all 14 attributed to unusually potent or lethally laced heroin - King County officials now say they've found no proof that the seven deaths here were in fact due to a high purity of the drug.

In the words yesterday of that county's coroner, Tim Davidson, "We're finding them with the needle still in their arm or in their hand."And now officials in Vancouver and Portland, south of the Longview-Kelso area, say they're getting reports of "hot" heroin overdoses.
