Game On

The good people behind the Showbox are opening a new sports bar this weekend on Lower Queen Anne, in the space formerly occupied by Sorry Charlie's and the Mirabeau Room on Queen Anne Ave. The bar will be called The Spectator and will feature "16 high-definition flat-screen plasma TV's,...an outstanding vintage game room featuring American shuffleboard and a selection of new and retro arcade games like Golden Tee and Big Buck Hunter."

Golden Tee's now considered "retro"? News to me. All good, anyhow: As an LQA-residing sports nut in a town that's a little shy on sports bars (and shuffleboard), this news tickles me.
