Steve Jobs unveiled the first images of Apple's forthcoming aesthetically pleasing iphone today- a slim, handheld device that wraps phone, ipod and internets communications (desktop email, web browsing, IM)- into one, convenient, status boosting piece of plastic.

 The slick hyped machine will be available in June at first only through Cingular for a cool $499 (4 GB) or $599 (8 GB). . . is it worth it?

 You can always wait to see what Microsoft will drop in three years or so.
