No Rest for the Wicked

It was a busy weekend that's bleeding right on over into the week!  I won't complain though- after seeing more sharpie drawn penises than I ever wanted to at Tim and Eric's Awesome show on Saturday at the Croc,  Whalebones and Saturday Looks Good to Me made up for it by rocking the Chop on Sunday (sadly, sans Ladyhawk who rolled their van and couldn't make the trek down) I wasn't too disappointed to have missed Sebadoh's reportedly underwhelming set.

Monday saw a folktastic bill at the Tractor with an early Dylan-esque Paleo with J. Wong, Molly Rose and Throw Me the Statue- whose glockenspiel player had such high energy, his mallets went flying. Last night was the always entertaining Hotel Motel (now fondly dubbed HoMo), where I witnessed Whitey confiscate yet another ID and a styled out girl in dangerously high stilettos and suspenders get down like I haven't seen anyone do in quite a long minute.

Tonight holds Do Make Say Think (Neumo's), Robert Randolph and the Family Band (Showbox) and local hushed voiced crooner J. Tillman at the Chop.

Tomorrow is the Can't See with See Me River and the Dead Horse Creek at the Comet! Jucifer at the Croc.  Friday holds even more- including a hot show at Atlas Clothing's warehouse in the back with The Dead Science (who'll be hitting the road soon with Blood Brothers), BARR, Parenthetical Girls, Marnie Stern, Sholi and *pause for breath* PWRFL Power.

Phew.  Go forth, and rock.
