Planet Earth meets Yes

In addition to Noise for the Needy pulling off the best year yet of benefit shows across the city, this weekend showed me the light. It was bright, blinding and came in the form of the BBC's mindblowing documentary series Planet Earth.  Which, in and of itself would be incredibe enough, but set to a self-imposed score of Yes' Close to the Edge? The Wizard of Oz set to Dark Side of the Moon doesn't even come close.

Watching a nimble baby caribou attempt to outrun a relentless wolf on the hunt as proggy riffs and swirling synths maximize the climax of the chase is enough to bring anyone in their right (or not) mind close to the edge, and then right on over it.
