Gone missing

Gone missing:  Moonpenny Opera.  With plastic octopuses strapped to the contrabass, band members sporting full clown makeup and blue dreadlocks and a musical style that can only be described as circus polka, these guys are definitely one-of-a-kind. If you’re not quite convinced, consider these lyrics:  “Oh I’ll show you sights you’ve never seen, take you where you’ve never been, pluck out your eyes and eat your spleen, I’m very pleased to eat-cha.” The trio used to be a staple at open mic nights in the U-District and busking in SODO streets and around Pike Place Market – but have now apparently vanished..  A disabled website and deserted Myspace profile beg the question – where are they?
