Film School with be at the Crocodile Cafe (9 p.m. $10) with the Hugs and Eulogies. Rachel Shimp had this to say in this week's Short List:
"Bury the drums, make the vocals incomprehensible and/or third-grade simple—so it goes with loud-ass dreampop, but this Beggars Banquet band doesn’t follow that formula to a perfect T on their new Hideout. The album may not be quite as good as last year’s self-titled debut, but every death-disco drumbeat, hollow guitar wail, and obtusely romantic lyric comes through loud and clear and almost visually, glimmering like sequins in a pitch-black room."
