Have Your Grandparents Heard The Velvet Underground?

This weekend, I called my 83-year-old grandma back in Pennsylvania. When I asked what she was up to, she said: "Well, your granddad and I were just sitting here watching the Lawrence Welk show." I had to laugh to myself, because, well, it's endearing-as-hell to have grandparents living in a 50-year time-lag. But I also laughed because of the above.
